HU will be closed for the Winter break from December 24th through January 1st. We encourage you to submit any urgent tickets prior to December 23rd. We will have a limited staff checking on tickets during the break, but your ticket may be delayed or addressed until our return on January 2nd. We wish you a safe and healthy holiday season!
Since 2023, the U.S. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has launched a strong initiative called “Secure our World” to bring awareness to cyber threats. This initiative also aims to keep YOU safe and secure while going through everyday life.
We would like to open the forums to inform you about things to keep an eye out for, the first being a threat which is seen commonly everyday: phishing.
Think before you click!
- When it comes to phishing techniques, the threat actor always wants to obtain some sort of information from you. See the following video here on how to identify possible phishing attacks.
Report it!
- Don’t hesitate to report a message you think is malicious. Here at HU, you can click “Report” at the top of any outlook message or submit a ticket to the helpdesk.
Passwords and MFA!
- Utilize strong passwords (think about moving to passphrases) along with MFA to keep your account secure. This can be effective for much more than a phishing attack!
Let’s work together to create a safer digital environment for ourselves and our organization!
If you have any questions or topics that you wish to discuss, please feel free to see our support page located here.
