Harrisburg University has several different methods of providing Guest WiFi Access. All methods require a username and password for secure access.
Method 1: Self Registration (12 Hours)
Step 1 - Connect to the wireless network named HU and enter the password/key HarrisburgU (case sensitive) when prompted. After connecting, open a browser and attempt to browse to https://harrisburgu.edu to connect to our wireless registration page.
Step 2 - Select "Request Guest Access".
Step 3 - Fill out the Guest Self Registration information.
Step 4 - You will then be sent a text message with credentials to use up to 12 hours on the network.
Method 2: University Provided HU-Guest Account
University staff and faculty can request wireless guest credentials in advance. If you were provided wireless guest credentials, please follow the steps below to connect.
Step 1 - On your Windows computer open your list of wireless networks and select HU-Guest and choose connect.
Step 2 - Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Google Chrome and browse to https://harrisburgu.edu. You will be directed to the guest login page.
Step 3 - Enter the username and password that was provided. Both username and password are case sensitive.
Method 3: University Provided SSID (Wireless Network Name)
For larger events, Harrisburg University staff and faculty may request SSIDs for guests to quickly connect.
Step 1 - On your Windows computer open your list of wireless networks and select the appropriate network name.
Step 2 - Click connect and enter the provided password.
Step 3 - Click Next.
