*Beginning in Summer 2025 some changes to the user experience will occur and these are outlined below. The changes were driven by Microsoft.* 

For students, accessing Microsoft Teams as part of your course work at Harrisburg University is very easy. First access your course in the Canvas Learning Management System and select 'Microsoft Teams Class Link' from the course-level left-hand navigation bar:





Next you will need to click on the 'Open in New Tab' button:






If you already have the Microsoft Teams application open then your Class Team will open directly. If you do not have the application open or have not downloaded it previously then you will need to either open or download the application using the options given.


 



Once you have accessed your Microsoft Teams Class, you will arrive at the 'General' channel. This is where the virtual course lectures and sessions will be listed. Click on the appropriate session you are trying to join:





Now click on the 'Join' button to access your virtual session:






Virtual sessions, especially during the add-drop period at the beginning of the semester, will be scheduled very close to the start time. It is normal to not see your session in the days leading up to the semester, but they should be available the day of the session. If you experience issues accessing a virtual session in-progress please reach out to the emergency support line.
