FAQ: I'm leaving HU without completing a degree. What happens to my HU Microsoft 365 account?

If you exit from HU without completing a degree your HU Microsoft 365 account will be delete 180 days after your exit date.

What is going to happen to my Microsoft 365 and Email account?

Your Microsoft 365 account, including HU email and OneDrive, will be deleted. This means that you will no longer be able access emails and anything saved to your OneDrive. If you are using your my.harrisburgu.edu email address for any websites or subscriptions then you will need to consider updating those accounts to use a personal address. You will also need to make sure any contacts you communicate with using your HU email address are aware of the change. Messages sent to the my.harrisburgu.edu email address will be returned to sender. If you would like to update your personal email on file please visit the Office of Records and Registration support portal to update.

What will happen to my MyHU account?

You will still be able to access your MyHU account with your existing credentials until your account is deleted (180 days after exit date).  An email including additional detail and login information will be sent to your personal email address on file in the weeks leading up to your account deletion date. 

What system access will I lose?

You will lose access to all other HU resources including:

-Canvas LMS
-Emergency Alerts (Omnilert)
-Badge Access
-Printing Access
-Office 365 (all services)
-OneDrive
-Library Services
