Students who successfully graduate from Harrisburg University may keep their HU email account, but there will be some changes. After graduation, you will be notified via email that your account will transition from student@my.harrisburgu.edu to student@alumni.harrisburgu.edu. The email will contain a transition date, which is the day access to the student email will stop and alumni email access will begin. You will retain all existing email in your mailbox, but your email address will change.
You may continue to use your HU email account via Exchange Online within Microsoft 365.
Please update any services or forwarding settings from your old @my.harrisburgu.edu address to your new @alumni.harrisburgu.edu email address.
- Access your new email account at http://outlook.com/my.harrisburgu.edu
- All existing email content will be retained
- Your username will now be student@alumni.harrisburgu.edu
- Your password will remain the same as your previous @my.harrisburgu.edu account
- If you forget your password, you can reset it using Microsoft’s “Can’t access your account” link on the Microsoft 365 login page
- The @my.harrisburgu.edu email address will no longer be valid; any mail sent to it will be returned to the sender
- Access to Canvas is terminated
- Licensed installations of Microsoft 365 Office Pro Plus are terminated, including Microsoft Teams
- Access to Microsoft OneDrive through your HU email account is terminated. Please save any OneDrive documents locally or to another cloud service. Once terminated, files cannot be recovered.
